Hello and welcome to Plantswap.com.au – Australia’s most comprehensive plant searching engine.

We have overhauled the previous website with a new, slick, easy-to-use interface. It is extremely user friendly, and also has the geo-location feature so you can see who around you is looking for, or wanting to give-away/sell their plants.

This project has been a labour of love, and it has evolved over the past 8 years. I love plants, as I am sure you do, and that’s why you’re on this website.

We encourage friendly, courteous and respectful engagements. You don’t have to put all your details of your location if you don’t feel comfortable to do so, but if you can at least upload a photo of your plant(s), a description of what you have, or what you are looking for, and a vague location (suburb) so it makes it easier for people around you to have a rough idea of how far they have to travel, it would be greatly appreciated.

As this website evolves, we are always open for comments and ideas and welcome constructive criticism.

Who We Are?

I am Henry Gomez and I live in Rocklea, Qld and I love plants. I go by the nickname of Mr Organicus on plantswap ads and on the blog.

I run this website on the side in my spare time. Did I mention I love plants? I also have a business called Hercules Hire that hires out small bobcats and excavators to the greater Brisbane area.

To date, Platswap.com.au has received no exterior funding, all costs related to the running of this webpage have been out-of-my-pocket.

Usability

A friendly GUI is what users need – the screenshot below shows the interface where users can select a category from to create a new plantswap ad. The process is self-intuitive.
